- Section 2 then looks specifically at different types of coaching, outlines six ways to start coaching, how to design a coaching program, the skills required to coach effectively and concludes with a discussion of the GROW model of coaching.
- Section 3 examines mentoring within organizations, different types of mentoring, characteristics of a great mentor and planning a mentoring program. The course continues by looking at the characteristics of a successful mentoring program, potential obstacles, the importance of documentation planning and different mentoring models that can be used.
- Throughout this course, we have included exercises to stimulate learning and to help participants to practice new skills. We would encourage that you use these exercises to make the course as interactive as possible. You may choose to vary the time spent on each exercise to meet your exact needs and we have provided lots of options for you as the trainer. We have also included Case Scenarios that you may choose to employ at different stages in the course or as substitutes for some of the exercises.
- At the end of the course, it is essential that participants leave the training session with a positive impression on what they have learnt.
